Daddy's Girl
Well it's out! Daddy's Girl was officially released to the world on May 1st! I know of at least one NH independent bookstore who has agreed to stock it, and I'm hoping to wrangle a few more very soon. But for now if you are in the Littleton, NH area, check out the Village Bookstore, and ask to see Daddy's Girl! As always, if you want your local bookstore to stock it, there is a downloadable pdf on my website that you can print out and bring in to any bookstore. It will have all the info they need to be able to stock it.

Teaching
Well my classes at Kimball Jenkins in Concord, NH are in full swing. I've been having a lot of fun with these kids this semester, and have been trying out some new projects. Starting in July at the Currier Art Center in Manchester, NH, I will be teaching two Illustration classes for teens and adults. The classes are Introduction to Illustration and Children's Book Illustration, and both are evening classes. I've added a section to my website for Teaching, and all the information about the classes can be found there, along with some pictures of previous classes. So if you are interested in signing up for any of the Currier Art Center classes, check out my website, or go directly the Currier's website and click on "Create and Explore Art".

Freelance Work
I've had the honor of designing another wedding announcement, and even though it's technically not a "job", (because it's my brother who is getting married and I try to never charge family) I still had a blast designing it. I'll add it to the Past Projects section of my website soon, which also has images of other wedding invitations and announcements I've created over the years. Another freelance job landed in my lap recently, which I'm extremely excited about. New Hampshire Healthy Kids is an organization that offers programs to help every child get affordable health care coverage. They put out an Annual Report which they've traditionally designed to look like a children's book. They've asked me to do the illustrations for that Annual Report this year. So I'm working on that right now, and will add pictures of my progress to the website soon. If you are interested in learning more about what NH Healthy Kids does, or in making a donation, please visit their website.

Chocolate Lovers Fantasy!
Who loves chocolate! I DO! I DO! If you are anything like me, and you just go crazy for a good bit of chocolate, you might want to check out the Chocolate Lovers Fantasy, happening this coming Sunday, May 21st from noon to 4:00pm at the Radison Hotel in Manchester, NH. Vendors from all over will be handing out free samples of their favorite chocolate products. I will be there painting an original painting that will then be included in the Silent Auction! Tickets are only $15, and are for either the noon entrance time or the 2pm entrance time. Once inside, you can stay for as long as you want. All proceeds from this event will go to Caregivers, Inc., which is a New Hampshire non-profit that assists the frail, elderly and disabled through the spirit of volunteerism. It's a great cause, and an amazing excuse to eat some good chocolate! I hope to see you there! To order tickets, visit their website, or call 603-622-4948.

Currier Museum of Art
I know this is a shameless plug for something not really NEVA centered, but I will be there! The Currier Museum of Art is having a Family Festival from noon to 4:00pm this Saturday, May 20th. Admission to the museum is free all day, and there will be great ethnic food, dancing, drumming, book sales, etc. There's something for everyone. I highly recommend coming to see the current exhibition Voces y Visiones: Highlights from El Museo del Barrio's Permanent Collection. The exhibition is a celebration of Caribbean and Latin American art and culture. I think my favorite part of the exhibition is the masks, but you'll have to tell me what you think. I will be there most of the day taking pictures, so stop by and say hello and enjoy some art and perhaps a burrito!
